Dan was honoured to be asked to perform at a concert at the INEC in Killarney in memory of the late Aine Nic Ghabhann who passed away suddenly earlier this year. Aine was a well known character in the music world and Dan is privileged to be the current holder of the ‘Aine Nic Ghabhann Award for Vocal Repertoire’ from the competition, ‘Feile an tSamhraidh’ in Midleton, Cork in 2013. Dan was delighted to be perform at a Family Gathering of his ancestors, The Harris Family of Curra, Upton in Cork. The descendants of the Harris which is very extensive, will had a gathering which was marked down as an event for the year of ‘ The Gathering 2013’. Dan was delighted to perform at a ‘Concert of Light Classical Favourites’ in aid of a very worthy cause, ‘The Nathan Kirwan Trust’ on Saturday 2nd Nov 2013 at the historic Aula Maxima in University College Cork. Dan showcased at a very busy ‘Charity Wedding Fair’ in aid of ‘The Girls Club’ in Cork on Sunday 13th October 2013 at The Radisson Hotel in Little Island between 1.30 and 5.30pm. Dan performed there at his stand throughout the afternoon to entertain the couples who were browsing around on the day. Accompanying him on the stand was the very talented concert harpist, Carys Ann Evans! Dan was delighted to recently perform at a Social Evening which was held by the Midleton Active Retired Association at The Viaduct Bar on the Bandon Road outside Cork City. Dan entertained those 50 or so people at the social for the evening by performing a varied repertoire of music from Classsical to Traditional to Jazz/Swing to Songs from the Musicals! Concert of ‘Opera and Light Classics’, Cobh Heritage Centre – Sat 28th Sept 2013

Dan performed at a concert of ‘Opera and Light Classics’ at the atmospheric Cobh Heritage Centre, home of ‘The Queenstown Story’. The concert was a fundraiser for the ‘Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind’. There was a fine audience there on the night and the whole event was a great success with €950 being raised for the ‘Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind’. Opera Recital at a private house in Kinsale – Saturday 21st Sept 2013

Dan performed at a Recital being given by members of the ‘Opera Platform’ under Musical Director, Mary MacSweeney from Cork School of Music. The recital was given at a beautiful private house in Kinsale where the family invited friends along, many of whom were Opera fans! The night was very much enjoyed by the guests and the performers alike. Performing along with Dan were Emma Nash, Kate Falvey, Peter O’ Riordan and Fiona Falvey and the accompanist on piano for the night was Thomas Doyle.
